Maintenance / Service Technician

Looking to hire a Service Technician for our property Vancouver Pointe, a %%= Independent Living Community

The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position will assist in all phases of maintenance operations.

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Service Supervisor . This position will maintain working relationships with all other staff members, vendors, contractors, construction personnel; will maintain positive relationships with all current and prospective residents. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Maintenance Technician:

· Completes maintenance work orders as assigned

· Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties

· Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation

· Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Executive Director of all problems and potential issues of concern

· Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the

Service Supervisor or Executive Director

· Participates in on-call schedule and responds to after-hours incidents

· Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment

· Interacts in a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees

· Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs

· Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials

· Other duties as assigned by the manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum High School Education or equivalent

· Minimum three (3) years full time maintenance experience including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.

· Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems

· Valid driver’s license

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc.

· Basic computer skills for completing online work orders

· Works well in a team environment and demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level

· Must have HVAC and pool certifications

 

SCOPE + COMPENSATION

· Minimum forty (40) hours per week; additional hours as required. Regular schedule to be consistent with established hours of operation

· Salary commensurate with level of experience and job requirements
