Maintenance Supervisor

We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance for our Active Adult (55+) Community, Sunstone Village in Denton, TX. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind property performance, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and at the highest standard.

What You’ll Do

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll oversee all aspects of property maintenance while leading and supporting a team of technicians. You’ll partner closely with the Property Manager to deliver an exceptional living experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations: prioritize work orders, manage schedules, and ensure top-quality execution
  • Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and growth
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to keep operations running efficiently
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively, keeping the Property Manager informed of risks or concerns
  • Support unit renovations, including scheduling, progress tracking, and hands-on work when needed
  • Drive preventative maintenance programs to protect and enhance property value
  • Conduct regular property inspections and respond quickly to emergencies
  • Build strong vendor relationships, sourcing the best partners for quality and cost
  • Lead monthly team meetings focused on safety, training, and operational excellence
  • Step in when needed—from repairs and painting to after-hours coverage

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience
  • Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
  • HVAC certification required
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and building systems
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A team-first attitude with a commitment to safety and quality
